Thinking about joining the DeBakey HSHP family? There’s no better way to get a feel for our school than by seeing it in action. We’d be thrilled to welcome you
for a tour, introduce you to our community, and answer any questions you may have along the way. Our Magnet Thursday Tours offer a chance to experience our campus, learn more about our program, and ask questions directly to staff and students. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing more about what makes DeBakey High School an exceptional place for learning.
⚠️ Important Notice About DeBakey Campus Tours
Campus tours for prospective students and families were available from October 2025 through February 2026, and we also hosted an Open House at the end of February. Tours are not conducted during testing days, which were always excluded from our tour calendar.
As we approach the end of the school year, we are now fully in testing season, with assessments taking place almost daily. In addition, our team is actively processing incoming students and responding to a high volume of questions, so we are unable to accommodate tours at this time.
We expect tours to resume in October 2026 or November 2026.
That said, there will be several upcoming opportunities for you and your child to visit campus and become familiar with the school through events such as Viper Camp, laptop distribution, and enrollment events. Please stay on the lookout for more information as dates are finalized.
